The 2nd OIST-Kyudai Joint Workshop was held

Kyushu University and the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST) recently held the 2nd “OIST-Kyudai Joint Workshop.” This workshop, based on our comprehensive partnership agreement, took place at Kyushu University’s Ito Campus on February 6th and 7th, 2025, under the theme “Evolution of Digital Society through Next Generation AI and Quantum Technology.”

 

On the first day, after opening remarks by Prof. Tanimoto, EVP for Research, Kyudai, keynote speeches were given by Assoc. Prof. Yuki Takahashi (OIST) and Assoc. Prof. Danilo V. Vargas (Kyudai). Discussions on AI and quantum technology followed.

On the second day, groups discussed future joint research possibilities, concluding with closing remarks by Prof. Mitarai, Dean of Research, OIST.

 

This time, 35 researchers (25 from Kyushu University and 10 from OIST) participated, engaging in lively discussions.

We will continue to strengthen our collaboration to produce outstanding research outcomes.
