Kyushu university reseachers support program
The University operates a variety of researcher support systems.
Among them is the intramural research support system, which provides research support programs to meet a wide range of research needs and supports free and vigorous research.

Research Start Program

| Objective | Program to support young researchers who have no experience in obtaining Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research by providing them with research funding support and a "Research Funding Acquisition Support Program" in an integrated manner to help them build a research track record. |

Persons who satisfy all of the following (1) to (3) (1) Assistant professors who obtained their doctoral degree less than 8 years or Post-doctoral Fellows. (2) From among principal investigator who were rejected for the KAKENHI in the relevant academic year, those who got“Rank A”(in the top 20% of all research proposals that were not selected) of disclosure of review results. (3) Researchers who are scheduled (as of the time of application) to remain at their current post for the duration of the support period. |

Researcher Network Formation Promotion Program with Candidate Universities for Strategic Partnership

| Eligible person | Among the exchange programs mainly involving young researchers from TUAT and their counterparts from Seoul National University or National Taiwan University, those that are expected to have medium- to long-term effects, such as the creation and implementation of international joint research, publication of international co-authored papers, joint application for competitive research funds, and increase in the number of dispatched/accepted international students after the completion of the program, with the aim of forming new research and education networks and expanding and developing them. Support for Women Returning from Maternity and Parental Leave

| Objective | The Support for Returning from Maternity and Parental Leave (referred to herein as SRW) is part of Kyushu University’s Research Activity Support Program. To promote the diversity of research environments and to support researchers, Kyushu University provides financial support for researchers who have interrupted their research due to maternity or childcare leave to restart their research activities to enable them to return to their research smoothly. |

Support for the Employment of Research Assistants

| Objective | The Support for the Employment of Research Assistants is part of Kyushu University’s Research Activity Support Program. This support aims to foster diversity in research environment. It provides financial assistance towards hiring research assistants for researchers who are recognized as having difficulty securing their research time due to personal circumstances such as childbirth, childcare, or nursing care. The goal of this initiative is to prevent any interruptions to their research activities. |
