3rd Kyushu-University Gap Fund Program

Notification of start of the University’s venture business seed development program (known as “Kyushu Gap Fund”).
 
Kyushu- University (KU) Gap fund Program is an on-campus grant intened to validate the potential of one’s own research results and conduct initial assessment by customers. There are up to 10 projects scheduled to be accepted and up to two million yen per project. 
※The number of accepted project might be less than 10, depending on the status of application and selection.
 
Application period: from October 1 (Mon) to October 31 (Wed), 2018.
Eligibility: applicant must be a researcher who is a faculty member of KU and who is motivated to start a business based on the applicant’s own research results.
※ Application by group is allowed as long as it includes the applicant as principal investigator.
※There is no restriction on qualification of collaborators(including students and extramural researchers)
 
If the project is accepted, the applicant will receive advice and evaluation by external reviewers including experts from venture capital. KU will provide organizational support for the applicant even after completion of this program.
