Online ENCORe session on New Lifestyles in the Post Covid-19 Era

The first online ENCORe (Networking for Co-creating Research) session was held on June18, 2020. ENCORe is an interactive networking platform for foreign and Japanese researchers to co-create research in English and for exchanging research ideas and information on a regular basis with the aim of collaborative and interdisciplinary research.

Two researchers with different expertise, Dr. Stephen Lyman, lecturer, School of Medicine, and Dr. Megumi Sugimoto, Associate Professor, Office for the Promotion of Gender Equality specializing in risk management, presented their views on new lifestyles in the post Covid-19 era. Following the presentations, the presenters and the 21 participants from various fields exchanged opinions and information during Q&A and discussion sessions. Information on funding opportunities for collaborative research was also presented.

Although the online environment somewhat limited interaction between participants, the session made it possible to exchange views and for participants to get to learn about other researchers.
