Regarding Animals at Kyushu University

When you care and manage laboratory animals and carry out animal experiments at Kyushu University, please comply with the "Act on Welfare and Management of Animals", the "Standards Relating to the Care and Management of Laboratory Animals and Relief of Pain", the "Fundamental Guidelines for Animal Experiments and Related Activities", the "Kyushu University Animal Experiment Regulations" and the "Administrative Instructions Kyushu University Animal Experiment Regulations".

In order to feed and keep test animals and carry out animal experiments, you need to take educational training and register as an animal experiments personnel in advance.

If you have not received the educational training and registered yet, please contact your department Office for an application.

Title FY2026 Animal Experimentation Education and Training
Contents

(Based on Article 31 of the Animal Experimentation Regulations and the Implementation Guidelines for Animal Experimentation Education and Training)

The FY2026 Animal Experimentation Education and Training will be conducted as follows.
Please note that the schedule is subject to change.

1. Date/Time & Location: As per Document 1

2. Application Method: Apply to your respective departmental administrative office using the “FY2026 Education Training Schedule and Application Form” in Document 2.

3. Notes: ① Those required to attend refresher training are individuals whose Animal Experimentation Practitioner Registration Certificate number begins with “22,”
 individuals, and those who did not attend the FY2025 refresher training.
 Those registered in the electronic application system will be notified via their university email address on the 1st of every month starting in April. 
② For the training session using the DVD on animal experimentation techniques and laboratory animal husbandry
(produced by the Video Software Production Subcommittee of the Japan Association for Laboratory Animal Science),
those wishing to attend should mark “○” on the application form and submit it.
